Safety + Continuity | Our guiding principles

Regardless of property type, there are two principles that we stand by when servicing a property - Safety + Continuity. Every service performed on your property flows downstream from these two principles; to keep your property safe for patrons, and to keep continuity in commerce.

The chief priority of any snow and ice management plan is to maintain a safe environment for the users of the property. All other considerations follow this top priority. We have many different tools to ensure that your property remains safe during and after snow and ice events. Also critical to any snow and ice management plan is ensuring that business may continue with as minimal interruption as possible. We’re here to ensure this is the case. Different property types bring unique challenges to be met by applying a unique approach to snow and ice management - Healthcare campuses often require zero tolerance for snow and ice on parking and pedestrian areas, and for good reason as we all need safe access to medical facilities no matter what mother nature has in mind. Distribution centers may require priority clearing of dock and drive-in doors and that trailer parking zones be cleared at the end of accumulation. Mixed-use properties may require a blend of snow and ice management methods to maximize efficiency and control costs. We’re able to offer custom solutions tailored to your specific property type to ensure that your property is safe for its users, and that business is able to continue as normal.

At New Leaf Landcare we understand your concerns and priorities. And we match our service to meet, and often exceed, your expectations for a snow removal contractor. We invite you to learn more by contacting us to discuss a snow and ice management strategy for your property.

Commercial Snow plowing & removal

The removal of accumulated snow from paved and pedestrian walk areas is often the first step in keeping your property safe and business running as usual during a snow event. Our team has many years of experience using a variety of tools and equipment to get the job done in an efficient, safe and effective manner. As previously stated, each property requires a tailored approach in regards to the equipment, personnel and plan of attack during a snow event. And we do look at snow plowing as an attack or battle, of sorts. We are battling back nature and with that requires a special attention to the equipment, personnel and methods used. Snow plowing is a serious business with risks involved for all parties. With proper attention to detail and safety, risks can be mitigated - and our job is to mitigate these risks and your worries.

parking lot & walkway ice control

An essential aspect of a proper snow and ice management plan involves chemical treatment of ice. Ice control has come a long way in the last decade in terms of improved technology and reduced environmental impact. Ice control can be achieved through either pre-event (anti-icing) or post-event (de-icing) applications. We use sodium-magnesium and/or calcium chloride (rock salt) for both preventative and post event applications, and liquid salt brine can be used to treat walkways and lots prior to ice events to prevent or lessen bonding of ice to the surfaces.

Ice control efforts may be the single most important component of snow removal in reducing tenant or resident injury liability. It is critical to select the correct timing, application equipment and methods in ice control - therefore selecting a contractor with experience and a keen eye for details is paramount to your snow and ice plan. Contact us for more details and to see how we can limit your liability by keeping your property safe each and every day of the season.
